ANNOUNCEMENT – On April 15, 2014 a Special Meeting of the TRU Board of Directors was properly convened. Each member was heard, after which, the TRU Board of Directors voted 5-2 to remove Mr. Watson as Director of Competitions effective immediately.
The Board regrets that this situation has degenerated to this point, however the Board must act in the best interest of the TRU and cannot allow for anyone to undermine the integrity of the TRU, it’s Board of Directors or TRU Members. The Board recognizes Mr. Watson’s contributions to the TRU and Rugby in general and hopes he continues to make those positive contributions in the future.
