The last Red River Rugby Conference Tournaments has completed and the Austin Blacks and Bluebonnets will be representing the TRU, RRRC and ACR4 at the USA Rugby 7s Championship Tournament. As previously reported, the Men’s division was sewn up by the Blacks at the 2nd RRRC Tournament. However, the Bonobos had something to prove and defeated the Blacks 27-12 in the Men’s final RRRC Tournament. In the Women’s Division, the Women’s Cup Semi Final matches both went into sudden death overtime with the Bluebonnets over the Austin Valkyries (2 OT periods) and the Dallas Harlequins over Tulsa (1 OT period). In the Cup Final, the Bluebonnets were upset by the Dallas Harlequins 15-12.
