Division 1

League Play

Clubs in these divisions will play the other clubs of their division both home and away. Points will be awarded per league match and recorded in CMS in order to rank clubs for playoffs.

The clubs will also be required to play cross divisionally in their region. Crossover matches will not count towards league play, but rather focus on development.
RRRC Championships

The top four D1 teams will advance to a single weekend playoff (semi-final and final at a neutral location).

Seeding

D1 seeding for the semi-finals will be based on the league match standings (#1 v #4 and #2 v #3). In the event of a tie in league points, we will follow the current tiebreaker policies.

USA Rugby Club Playoffs

The winner of the RRRC women’s D1 final will move on to the USA Rugby Playoffs as the D1 seed while the runner up will receive the D2 seed.

Division 2

Clubs in these divisions will play the other clubs of their conference (North and South) both home and away. Points will be awarded per league match and recorded in CMS in order to rank clubs for playoffs.

The clubs will also be required to play cross divisionally in their region. Crossover matches will not count towards league play, but rather focus on development.

TRU Championships

Upon conclusion of the league season, the top four teams will participate in a TRU Championship weekend. The format will be a four team semi final and final weekend. Seeding shall be based on winning percentage of the two divisions (highest to lowest) resulting in a North #1 vs South #2 and South #1 vs North #2 semi-final.

Past Competitions/Results

This league was part of the USA Rugby National Club Series and was part of the Competitive Region 2. This region merged the Women’s West and Midwest teams into one region. The league was started in 2009 and 2011 was the first season of cross TU league play. There will be no TU playoffs or CR2 crossover tournaments with this new format.
